Sterling Records opened on Fifth Avenue near Sterling Place in 2024, run by Gary Giddens, with Vince Clarke - who founded Depeche Mode, then Yazoo, then Erasure - among its investors. It carries vinyl, CDs and cassettes alongside books, shirts, turntables, accessories and a picked selection of memorabilia, which makes it a shop built for a neighbourhood rather than for specialists only
