3B began as 3Beat Records in 1989 and split from the 3Beat label in 2009, keeping the shop and letting the label go its own way - an unusual direction of travel, since it is normally the shop that gets dropped. It is run by Jemmy, who DJs as Freeze and held a residency at Cream, and the racks follow accordingly: house, techno, disco, nu-disco, balearic and electronica, with soul and funk underneath. The most direct line in Liverpool between a club scene and a counter.
