Fifth Avenue Record Shop has been on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope since 1966, which makes it one of the oldest record shops in New York still trading. New and used across rock, jazz, blues, funk, soul, disco, hip-hop, house and dance, plus CDs, cassettes, eight-tracks, VHS, some DVDs and record players - the stock list of a shop that never threw a format away. It has been run in recent years by Ryan Romanski, a DJ who came from Chicago, and it keeps dollar bins and the occasional free beer night, which tells you the tone
