Andes Plattenbau in the middle of Witten splits its racks roughly half new, half second hand, and refuses to specialise: rock, pop, punk, prog, psych, indie, wave, alternative, krautrock, jazz, funk, soul, folk, world music and heavy metal all get room, with crates of five-euro-max records underneath. Several thousand records are out for sale at any time, from the classics no collection should be without to things that are hard to find even online. Anything not in stock can be ordered in, and a Discogs mail order carries a mostly second hand catalogue that never sits in the shop racks but can be collected there. It buys collections, and will give your vinyl a professional clean while it is at it.
