OSKAR goes back to the 1990s, when ambition and a passion for music turned a family firm into a simple record wholesaler, which grew into a music publishing house and a concert agency. They have put on everything from one-night events to big festivals and international tours, and have more than 100 releases to their name, working mostly with independent artists trying to reach a wider audience, distributed through Independent Music Market. The people behind it describe themselves first as music obsessives devoted to the old-school classic, the vinyl record, and they have worked out their own packing systems so albums arrive intact.
