As the Record Turns has been in the same small courtyard since 1987, reached down a narrow walkway between McCadden Place and Las Palmas off Hollywood Boulevard, which is why most people walk past it for years. Inside is rare original vinyl from the fifties through the nineties - classic rock, jazz, R&B, hip-hop, soundtracks - and a wall of photographs of the customers. The shop supplies the industry as much as collectors: it has put records into more than a thousand feature films and hundreds of television shows for Disney, HBO, Warner Bros and Sony
