Astro Vinyl sits on Park Row, up the hill from the centre and a few doors from where Idle Hands now trades, dealing in funk, hip-hop, jazz, reggae and soul. It opens daily, which almost nothing else in Bristol does, and it will put a drink in your hand while you browse - a small thing that changes how long people stay and, in a city with this many shops within walking distance of each other, is a genuine competitive position rather than a gimmick.
