Atlantis opened in 2020 in the old Pacific Social Club premises on Clarence Road, run by John Coxon - a musician and producer who also runs the Treader label - and Liam Casey, with decades of buying and selling between them. It began by selling Rough Trade founder Geoff Travis's personal collection, which ran from early jungle through UK indie. The second-hand stock since has been just as unbounded: fifties Yemeni and Yiddish dance records, classical, reggae, free jazz, soul and spoken word
