Atomi is the only independent record shop in French Polynesia, opened in Papeete by Teiarapiti Isabelle to bring the format back to islands four thousand miles from the nearest pressing plant - which is why it turns up on lists of the most remote record shops on earth. New and second-hand across every genre, turntables and hi-fi to play them on, coffee while you dig, and the section that justifies the trip: original Tahitian pressings, which do not circulate anywhere else.
