Atomic opened in Burbank in 1996 and is run by brothers Rick and Steve Alper. The stock is used and weighted to 1950s through 1980s pressings, with a deliberate bias toward originals over reissues - the collector wall runs from around seventy-five dollars to a thousand. The strengths are classic jazz, sixties rock, punk and new wave, soul, blues, soundtracks and the exotica end of strange. They buy six days a week and will do house calls.
