Badlands has been Cheltenham's independent record shop since 1985, stocking new vinyl releases and a wide selection of CDs and selling both online as well as over the counter. It is known for its Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan corners, right down to Isis magazine and tour news, and it goes big on Record Store Day. The racks run through ambient and electronic, blues, country and Americana, disco, soul and funk, folk, hip-hop, indie, jazz, pop, rock and metal, soundtracks and world music.
