Barely Brothers Records on Raymond Avenue in St. Paul is a vinyl-only record store run by people who have been in the trade for decades: Mike Elias started working in record stores in 1982, and the shop's late co-founder co-hosted the Rockhouse on KFAI for over twenty-five years. It runs its own radio show and Friday-night DJs, and publishes monthly new-release lists, a shop grounded in the local scene as much as the racks.
