Beat Records is a used-record specialist in the basement of the Otoi Building in central Sapporo, three minutes from Odori subway station beside PIVOT, run single-handed by its owner. There are around 5000 records on the floor at any time, from 100 yen bins up to rarities pulled from two or three buying trips a year to America and Europe, leaning soul, jazz, rock and wamono, plus 500 to 600 used CDs. It buys LPs, 7-inch and 12-inch singles, CDs and music books, one disc at a time and paid in cash the same day, with no lot pricing and no disposal fees, and will come to your house anywhere in Sapporo or send record boxes out for a mail-in.
