Beatdisc has been in the Queensland Arcade on Church Street in Parramatta since 1995, and it is now the only independent record shop left in the whole of Western Sydney - the others, several of them in Parramatta too, dropped off one by one. Pete Curnovic bought it in 2008 at twenty-five, having found it in 1998 as a young punk. New, used and rare LPs, CDs and cassettes across everything from metal and punk to rock and pop, over seven thousand titles, the sections marked by hand-cut signs, and a steady run of in-store gigs
