Antiquariat Robert Hartwig, the Berliner Buch- und Musikantiquariat, was founded in 1979 and sits at Pestalozzistr. 23 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. One of Europe's leading antiquarian dealers for music and records, it buys and sells scores, sheet music, books, autographs, music graphics and sculptures of musicians, alongside a huge stock of records, CDs and shellac. Around 40,000 classical records and over 10,000 jazz records are on the shelves or in store, checked and almost all near mint or very good plus, many factory sealed and largely first or original pressings. Modern composers like Stockhausen, Nono, Kagel, Xenakis and Boulez are a particular strength, as is the ethnomusicological section, and the shop has taken in the estates of conductors and Berlin Philharmonic players.
