Big Star Records on rue des Balances in Arras is run by Melanie and Olivier, a couple who present on the local station PFM 99 and have been immersed in music for years. The stated aim is to be as broad as possible: rock, pop, French and international variete, jazz, soul, folk, hip-hop, classical, K-pop, punk, metal and indie rock on CD and vinyl, and if your favourite album is not on the shelf they will hunt it down. Every six weeks or so the shop hangs a new photography or painting exhibition.
