Black Gold has been on Court Street in Carroll Gardens since 2010, and it is genuinely two businesses in one room: a vinyl shop with fast turnover and a proper coffee bar doing hand-poured, made-to-order cups. The remaining wall space carries turn-of-the-century taxidermy, ephemera and antique curiosities. The owners have been buying and selling records for over twenty-five years, which is why the racks stay worth checking despite the size of the room.
