Black Widow Records is an independent label founded in Genoa in 1990, specialising in progressive rock and psychedelia, hard rock, folk and dark, and it sells its catalogue and record collections direct. That catalogue now runs to nearly 200 Italian and international productions, taking in Hawkwind, High Tide, Pentagram, Black Widow, Paul Roland, Delirium, Latte e Miele, Le Orme, Jacula and Antonius Rex alongside Italian acts such as Malombra, Il Segno del Comando, Il Tempio delle Clessidre and Il Cerchio d'Oro. Distribution long ago crossed European borders into specialist shops worldwide, and from 2005 the label has also promoted gigs in Genoa theatres, reviving seventies groups and backing new ones.
