Blues Night specialises in country blues and roots music and has a wide variety of records on 78rpm shellac. It is not limited to that: thousands of records cover rock and pop, jazz, soul, reggae, hip-hop, house and techno, and there are even some classical ones, which they admit are not that bluesy. Everything is for sale on vinyl and shellac, CD and tape, priced to compete with online second hand. The premises is a shed at their home rather than a place of business, so you walk through the big wooden gates as a private individual, not a member of the public, with no expectation that you buy anything. Good wi-fi, good hi-fi, rooms upstairs to stay in, and open alternate weekends: Friday 5 to 8, Saturday 2 to 8, Sunday 5 to 8, or by appointment.
