BMV opened its first store beside the World's Biggest Bookstore in March 1997, paying fair prices for quality items bought directly from the public, and now runs three Toronto shops including the Yonge and Eglinton branch it opened in September 1998. Alongside second-hand and new books it racks vinyl, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, magazines, comics, graphic novels and collectibles. The stock changes almost daily, so it rewards the treasure hunt.
