Boul'Dingue opened on Rue du Palais de Justice in Vieux Lyon in 1974 and is the oldest record shop in the city still trading - forty-odd years of stock, sold second-hand, with comic books filed alongside the records. It was run for most of that time by Serge Boissat, who died in August 2018. It is a rarities shop by function rather than by branding: the interest is in what has accumulated rather than in what came out this month.
