Cheap Trash Records is a record shop and online store at Forststrasse 166 in Stuttgart-West, specialising in new and second-hand punk, garage and lo-fi, hardcore, alternative and indie, mod and power pop, new wave and synth-pop, hard and heavy, ska and reggae, psychobilly and rockabilly. Vinyl leads, including coloured pressings, picture discs, shape discs and test pressings, then CDs, tapes, DVDs, books, fanzines and merch. The shop floor carries things the webshop does not: second-hand punk, hardcore, indie and metal CDs at 2.50 euro, pop, rock and disco LPs at four, 7-inch singles at two, buttons, oversized posters and stock worth inspecting before you buy. Opening hours are short, two evenings and a Saturday afternoon, but you can arrange a visit outside them. It has doubled as a film set: the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg shot scenes for the short GUY there in 2015, and rapper PHEANIX filmed his Oldschool video in the shop in 2018.
