The cousins Oren Pius and Eitan Kalma spent the best part of a decade accumulating stock and selling it at flea markets and swap meets across Southern California before opening Cosmic Vinyl in May 2016. The Echo Park shop, which ran a vegan cafe alongside the records, closed in July 2024; they found another home on Eagle Rock Boulevard between the skate shop and Vidiots, and the current room is records and hi-fi equipment
