Crash opened on Woodhouse Lane in 1985 and moved to 35 The Headrow two years later, where it has stayed ever since - four decades in one city, nearly all of it at one address. The racks lean indie, alternative, rock, punk and metal across both vinyl and CD, and the shop doubles as one of the city's main gig ticket counters, which is why a Leeds band's first in-store tends to happen here. With Jumbo and Relics it forms the walkable triangle the city's diggers work through in an afternoon.
