Arik Victor started Creep Records in West Chester in 1993 as a label with a recording studio in the basement, and ran it that way for five years before opening a shop at all - West Chester in 1998, which closed in 2002, then briefly Phoenixville, then Philadelphia from 2009 when the Piazza developers went looking for arts businesses to fill it. It has stayed since, and is by its own description part record shop, part label, part smoke shop, part punk clothing and part disc golf, which is either a lack of focus or thirty years of knowing your customers
