Curmudgeon is the newest record shop on Whyte Avenue, a few doors from Blackbyrd, dealing in new and used vinyl alongside art and posters - the two things people actually put on a wall after they have filled a shelf. A curated shop rather than a warehouse, and its arrival on an avenue that already had one long-established independent is the more interesting fact: record shops cluster, and a second one opening is a sign of health rather than competition.
