The Vinyl Resting Place: Daddy O's buys, sells and trades LPs, 33s, 45s, CDs and books at 147 N Tamiami Trail in Osprey, drawing on 50-plus years of collecting an eclectic array of genres. It claims one of the best jazz collections in the Sun Coast area, with rare albums in rock, jazz, blues, reggae, world, folk, vocals, comedy, doo-wop, hip hop and soundtracks. Open Thursday to Sunday, noon to 5pm, and it is a cash-only store - no credit cards, no cheques, on the grounds that the banks do not help run the shop so they do not get a cut of the action.
