Devine Records is a used-only shop on the ground floor of a building on Hirokoji-dori in Shinsakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya, a minute from exit 2 of Shinsakaemachi subway station and easy to reach by car. It buys LPs, EPs, cassettes, CDs and music books, takes on big clear-outs with staff doing the lifting, and posts almost every new arrival to its blog: Showa idol pop and kayokyoku, city pop, pop rock, hard rock, synth-pop, disco, new wave, roots reggae, latin jazz, jazz funk and anime records. Closed Tuesdays, 11:00 to 19:00. The shop has been written up in the Yomiuri and Asahi papers and turned up as a location in a student film.
