La Metralleta began in 1980 as a stall in the Rastro, moved to a unit in Vallecas, and in 1985 took the shop it still has - in the shopping gallery inside the car park under Plaza de las Descalzas Reales, which is not where anyone would expect to find one of Madrid's best-known record shops and is exactly why people talk about it. Second-hand CDs and vinyl in genuine bulk and in good condition, cheap, across LP, EP, single and maxi-single, plus DVDs: rock, classical, Italian and French song, flamenco, jazz, heavy metal and Spanish music
