Domino Sound opened on Bayou Road in 2007, a few blocks from the fairgrounds where Jazz Fest happens, and is modelled deliberately on the old Jamaican sound-system record shops - dub on the speakers, nag champa in the air, cash only. It holds what it believes to be the largest selection of reggae 45s and LPs in the South, with hundreds of international records alongside and well-kept punk, blues, jazz, soul, hip-hop, folk, avant-garde and local sections
