Dr. Disc Records on Ouellette Avenue was established in 1982 and is Windsor's longest-running independent music store, buying, selling and trading a huge stock of new and used music that runs from rock, jazz, metal, hip-hop, alternative and country to pop, punk, new age and classical, plus films. Its Local Heroes section is given to Windsor and Detroit-area artists, and the shop has backed local documentary work on the Detroit hardcore scene.
