Face Records started as a mail order operation in Yokohama in 1994 and took a shop in Udagawa-cho in Shibuya in 1996. It deals in second-hand vinyl - imports from Europe and America alongside records sourced in Japan - and its real strength is wa-mono, Japanese records, in a depth that is hard to find anywhere else. It has had the trust of working DJs for the best part of three decades, and opened a second Shibuya shop in Miyashita Park in 2020
