Feminista Vinyl was started by a collective of six friends who wanted a record shop made and run by women and gender-diverse people, foregrounding music by those artists. It is a not-for-profit and a deliberately safe community space, selling new and used vinyl, CDs, cassettes, books, gifts and clothing, and putting on events and shows. A shop built as a corrective to how the rest of the trade has usually looked, and one of very few of its kind anywhere in this directory. No founding year is published anywhere we could verify
