Free Sound Records, or Fusheng Changpian, runs two physical shops in Beijing. The original stands fifty metres east of the Ping'anli crossroads in Xicheng, a shop the owners describe as thirteen years old and reachable straight off the Ping'anli metro, open ten until eight. The second opened in 2011 inside the 798 art district in Chaoyang, near the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, and runs eleven until seven. It sells physical releases from Chinese independent music, and handled the first-day release of Dou Wei's album Zhengyue Sanqu.
