Fringe opened in Ridgewood in 2020 and is built around underground and queer culture rather than around a genre chart. The buying is industrial, noise and dark ambient, gothic and extreme metal, with DJ records from the seventies through the two-thousands alongside, and it goes well past records: tapes, CDs, VHS, DVDs, books, ephemera, clothing, stereo gear and Eurorack modules.
