Garage started in 2010 and was the first vinyl shop to open in Armenia after the collapse of the USSR, which in a country whose record trade had simply stopped existing is less a business decision than an act of faith. It has grown into four things - the shop on Abovyan, a label, a podcast, and a weekly two-hour radio programme mixed by Yerevan DJs and musicians - so it functions as most of the city's record infrastructure at once.
