Grammar School Records opened in 1991 inside the Thomas Peacocke grammar school building on Rye High Street, which dates from 1636. Stock runs to around twenty thousand LPs and twenty thousand seven-inch singles across rock and pop, jazz, folk, blues, reggae, easy listening, world, comedy, classical, spoken word, musicals and soundtracks, plus a substantial CD section - and the largest selection of 8-track cartridges in the country.
