Wilton Marchini Christiano founded Heavy Metal Rock on 8 September 1983 to get rock and metal releases into the Americana region, at a time when that material was almost impossible to find locally. The shop put on shows to strengthen the underground scene, and the live LP recorded with Vulcano in 1985 is still treated as a landmark in Brazilian rock. Printed catalogues went out by post nationwide, typed one at a time on a dot matrix, and the website followed in 1999. CDs, DVDs, LPs, shirts and footwear now.
