Hekman muziek is a family business and an independent record shop since 1925, founded by E.W. Hekman, who also started the Festa publishing house. Say Hekman in Winschoten and you say music: the shop has been a fixture in the town and the surrounding area since those first years, and the trade knowledge has piled up with it. Today it carries an extensive collection of CDs, DVDs and vinyl, with a notably large classical section, and still sells instruments, sheet music, guitars, strings, plectrums and styli from Torenstraat 34.
