Randolf Grebenstein ran Bamboo Music, Hildesheim's first secondhand record shop, back in 1982, when vinyl was ordinary and buying it used was still a niche idea. Over four decades later he is back behind the counter with HI Records. His own heart beats for funk, new wave and independent, but the buying refuses genre borders, shaped by the region's club years and a lifetime of gigs and festivals.
