HipHop Philosophy on Venice Boulevard is a record shop, an internet radio station and an art gallery at the same address, run by A.C., who programmes the station as well as the racks. The stock is underground and canonical hip-hop, soul and dance records aimed squarely at DJs and collectors, and the station has a rule it actually keeps: every broadcast is new music, never repeated. The shop was flooded out of an earlier home and rebuilt with help from its own listeners
