HMV record shop Shibuya opened on 2 August 2014 in Udagawacho, the corner of Shibuya that got called the holy ground of records in the 1990s, and it deals in used analogue records and CDs, seven minutes on foot from the Hachiko exit of JR Shibuya station. The floor is built on music from the 1960s through the 1990s, Japanese and imported pressings bought directly overseas by HMV's own buyers, with related books, magazines and record goods alongside, and the shop runs its own in-store events.
