Horenstein on Fechnerstraße in Wilmersdorf buys and sells classical, jazz, soul and rock records, and is set up around the act of listening rather than the act of browsing. The conductor Kurt Sanderling visited it at ninety-three and said being there was like coming home after thirty years, which tells you both what the room is like and roughly how long it has been there. It reopened on 4 August 2021 after a period closed. No founding year is published anywhere we could verify
