Hyde Park Records is the big South Side shop, on 53rd Street, and it is built around dusties - the Chicago word for the old soul records that never leave the city's radio - alongside jazz and hip-hop. New and used vinyl, CDs, DVDs and books. Boomer Lowe ran it from 2004; Alexis Bouteville took it on in January 2011 and has since opened a second, smaller room at 55th and Everett, with both the vinyl and the CDs deeper than they were
