Impressed Recordings is an Australian label built on reissuing and releasing homegrown jazz, and on 20 April 2024 - Record Store Day - it opened its first physical shop, in a former art gallery in Woolloomooloo. Its own exclusive releases, a curated second-hand selection and a hand-picked shelf of rare music books, in a room designed to be sat in. A label opening a shop is a good sign for a scene; a jazz label doing it in Sydney is a better one
