Waric Cameron and Luke Sardello, two DJs who had both worked at Bill's Records and Tapes, started Josey in 2014. It is now one of the largest independent record shops in the United States, with rooms in Dallas, Plano, Garland, Tulsa, Kansas City and Sedalia. When Bill Wisener died in 2020 they did a deal with his family for his entire music estate - close to a million records plus thousands of pieces of memorabilia - and have been pricing and shelving it ever since, which means the racks keep producing things nobody has seen in decades.
