Kelly's has been on the upper floor of Cardiff Market since 1969, dealing in rare, collectable and deleted stock, and the numbers are the story: over two hundred thousand records and forty thousand CDs, plus signed memorabilia. It is a market stall grown to warehouse scale without ever leaving the market, and it means Cardiff has both the oldest record shop in the world a few streets away in Spillers and one of the biggest second-hand holdings in Britain under a Victorian glass roof.
