César Sánchez Olín is a graphic designer who opened La Roma Records on Álvaro Obregón in 2012, and the order of what happened next is the point: the shop came first, the label followed in 2013, and a second shop opened in Bogotá in 2014. Two floors, with new releases, reissues, Mexican pressings and used 7s, 10s and 12s downstairs, and a buying policy built around independent artists and imprints - Arts & Crafts México, Terrícolas Imbéciles, Discos Tormento. It puts on listening parties and showcases, and is generally reckoned one of the prime movers in bringing vinyl back in Mexico. A second Mexico City branch trades in Coyoacán
