Blake Budak and Frank Mitchell opened Landspeed above Gus' Cafe in the Canberra city centre in 1993, with no business or record-shop experience between them, and it became the capital's independent - more than thirty years on, now down in Garema Place. Mitchell left not long after the move and Budak's brother came in. New and used across the genres, and a proper part of Canberra's music life rather than a shop that merely sells to it
