Le Comptoir du Disque has been independent in Montpellier since 1995 and holds something over a hundred and seventy thousand records - a stock figure that puts it among the largest record shops in France and well beyond what a city of Montpellier's size would normally support. Every style, new and second-hand together, and every format the last seventy years produced: 33s and 45s as the bulk, with cassettes and 78s filed as well. It trades from two addresses in the city.
